“IMARES Wageningen UR is researching cooperation between scientists and fishers in the Netherlands as part of the European *GAP2 project. In its research, it is specifically looking at projects monitoring the composition of catches in which fishers are responsible for taking samples and, in some cases, for sorting these samples. IMARES has been involved in a number of projects of this type since 2009 and is hoping to learn from the cooperation. The Dutch Fish Product Board is participating in the project on behalf of the fisheries sector.”
