“Dear friends,
As many of you know this was a very busy year for Matchbox and the Sandgrains project. With your help we have achieved the most important step and completed the production.
We were in Cape Verde, have been shooting, recorded interviews, met and worked with many people and produced a lot of material.
Since we came back, we did not stop for a moment. We have been organizing events, producing the sound track and taking care of the post-production (visit our blog for the latest updates).
To carry out this last process we are relying on the collaboration of Naiara Seara Romaña and Filippo Bianchi for the edit and color correction. Naiara and Filippo are not internal members of Matchbox but two very important professionals (without whom the documentary could not be completed) and need to be paid for their time and dedication.
To find funding for these professionals, we started a second crowdfunding campaign, as many of you have probably seen.
In this regard, we ask you one last effort to support us financially, or to share as much as possible our project. We only need 3000 € to complete the documentary. We are so close to the final release of the documentary and we don’t want to risk delaying everything to an unknown date.
Many of you have helped us so much already, and we know we can count on you because you proved to really believe in the project.

We are having more and more confirmations that this story has lots of potential: prestigious collaborations with high level professionals who have worked for us for free, various international magazines are publishing the project in its photojournalistic form, and various broadcasters have shown interest to view the completed edit for a possible purchase …
