A BUMPER harvest of clams and cockles from the sea off Kedah is sending fishermen laughing all the way to the bank with catches of seven to 10 tonnes a day. The phenomenon began in late March, according to fishermen Khalil Abdul Razak, 45. “Suddenly, the seabeds in Kuala Tebengau and Pulau Bunting off Yan, Kuala Kedah, is filled with clams.
